What would a Malayan tree actually add to the game? Or an Icelandic, for that matter. I'm allergic to the idea that all countries need a national focus tree "just because". I don't see the purpose of adding a tree for Malaya or Iceland. I think a shared tree for the Ukraine-type Soviet republics will be feasible for this DLCĬlick to expand. This is the kind of stuff I don't agree with. I believe we will have semi-shared or shared tree of the Balkan republics especially for Croatia and Albania in the Italian rework I think South America will only have a semi-shared tree with Argentina and Brazil and the rest of the countries in the area I also see possible country packs neutral European countries commanded by Belgium and accompanied by a Switzerland and Ireland and a shared treeĪlso dlc for shared trees in different regions like the Caribbean, the small nations of central asia like Mongolia or Tibet In DLC, the Middle East will not come Turkey but surely Egypt will very possibly Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia have a semi-shared regional tree and the British and French procterates such as Syria or Palestine obtain a shared colonial tree In scandinavian dlc a small tree would be missing to iceland Other than that, I think following the above list from Italy expansion to the final Minors country pack is a neat plan.Ĭlick to expand.I personally believe Southeast Asia / Pacific will be divided into two parts as it happened in the Balkans Same as Belgium, it doesn't fully fit, but it's the best thing we have. While British Malaya could be added in the country pack of Asia with Siam and Philippines. Although not ideal, Belgium is isolated and I don't see a better country pack for it. The left out are Belgium and British Malaya for it's hard to give them a good spot.īelgium could be added in the expansion that would include Italy and Austria. However, since that didn't happen, we have to work with what we have. That would have been much more neat in my opinion. (6)Īnd with that, you would have covered very nation in the game with 7 expansions and 7 country packs. Minors: Ireland, Luxembourg, Liberia, Oman, Yemen, Buthan, Nepal.
South America 2: Panama, Ecudaor, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chille (5)Ĭentral America: Cuba, Haitii, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala (7).Īsia: Philippines, Siam, Dutch East Indies, Mongolia, Meguko, Tibet. South America: Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Brasil, Argentina, Bolivia (6) Middle East: Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan. Scandinavia: Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark.
(4) -> Some German rework for interaction with Italy and Puppet Italy rework. NSB: Poland, Lithuania, Lativa, Estonia, USSR (5) -> But major game mechanics rework.Īn Italy DLC with new game mechanics: Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Ethiopia. (4) -> But Spain is double and France has Vichy+Free France. WTT: Nationalist China, Communist China, 5x Warlords, Manchuria, Japan, Germany. (6)ĭoD: Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Greece. TfV: Canada, South Africa, India, British Malaya, Australia, New Zeeland. In a perfect world, the DLCs would have been something like this: A bit dissapointed about Finland and Italy but I can understand the reasoning of leaving every country to their own region. No Step Back -> I like the current 5 nations we have. And Turkey been part of a Middle East DLC with Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan. I believe this one shouldn't have existed in the first place. Not because of the lack of new game mechanics in it but because of the bad focus trees.
With Portugal, Spain, France and Belgium this DLC would have probably felt more complete.īattle for the Bosphorus -> Was terribly received. This is probably were Belgium was left out and now it feels kind of isolated. Spain truly deserves to be considered as 2 nations instead of one. All of the focuses were enjoyable and I haven't seen anyone saying "this country was left out" but that's probably because it was mostly a naval update. With 4 nations and 2 reworks that makes 6. People only complained that Japan's focus tree was kind of rigid and China's Warlords are copy-paste, but there was no sense of a country being left out. Waking the Tiger -> Probably the best received DLC to this date. Some people argued that Bulgaria and Greece should have been included here as well, so 6 nations. So 6 nations.ĭeath or Dishonor -> Again very well received. Some people argued that British Malaya should have had its own focus tree as well to make it more interested. Together for Victory -> Very well received for it's time. The devs recently described that they often debate what countries to do next.
